Chappaqua House
This project is a full renovation of the facade and ground floor of a single family home. Meticulously placed openings expands the views and enables light to flood into the home. The Shui Sugi Ban cladding provides a modern aesthetic with greater exterior durability than paint.
The ground floor integrates level changes to designate program shifts from outside to in. The main level of the home connects directly to the backyard patio, which drops a couple of steps to the dining room, followed by one more drop into the greater living space with expansive windows and a grand fireplace.
